Father and son show their comedic chops on America’s Got Talent

Gerald Kelly introduced himself and his son before they went on America’s Got Talent. Gerald is 53 years old from Atlanta, Georgia, and his son Hunter is 7 years old. They are both comedians.

During their introduction, they make fun of each other, while making sure they are both ready to perform. Gerald walks out first, while Hunter stays with Terry backstage.

Gerald introduces himself and talks about doing comedy in his backyard, while maintaining social distancing. He charges them because he has kids to feed. Then he is prompted to start his routine.

He jokes about being a parent and not being able to help his son do homework. He compares boys and girls, with boys being really rowdy, while girls are sweet and smart.

The judges really like him and while Simon and Howie aren’t big fans of his material, they enjoyed his personality. All the judges give him a yes. Then Hunter comes on stage right after his dad.

The judges are surprised to see such a young boy and they are even more shocked when they find out he is Gerald’s son. When he starts his act he gets lots of laughs when he starts making fun of his dad.

For a moment he seems to forget his joke but he is able to remember it, saying his favorite comedian is Kevin Hart. He says he is a little taller than Kevin though.
