Fierce Parental Love: Porcupine Parents Act Quickly to Protect Babies

Have you ever wondered how far an animal will go to protect their young? These porcupines prove that the bond of family is stronger than any threat. A hungry leopard gets a clear message regarding family loyalty from these precious, prickly porcupines and their babies.

A family of porcupines out for a stroll had no idea about the danger they would encounter when a hungry leopard approached them. The Leopard spied on the family and decided to go after the babies. Little did he know that the parents would go to great lengths to protect their young.

The parents stood between the Leopard and the babies with their armor of sharp quills facing their opponent. As the Leopard approached, the parent would back into the Leopard’s face, hoping it was their pin cushion.

The family’s plan worked, and the Leopard received a mouth full of sharp quills, making it have second thoughts about having porcupine as a tasty meal. The ravenous cat did try a few times but finally got the message that he should not mess with the porcupine’s babies. Embarrassed and defeated, he disappeared into the brush, as he was no match for the porcupine family.
