This idea can be especially exciting to scientists who study the ocean and all of its vast and intricate ecosystems. It has been said that we know less about the ocean today than we currently know about all of space. It is hard to believe that deep in these waters, on our very own planet, is an entire world that we have barely even begun to discover. Oceanographers are truly on the cutting edge with making new discoveries and unveiling parts of our world that we never even knew existed. Just imagine the excitement that must be going through each of these scientists’ minds every time they discover and unveil it for the first time.
For this team of oceanographers, they had a dream to be the first to see a new species in the ocean. But, they did not want to discover just any species. They had a very specific creature in mind, and they believed they knew exactly where to look to find it. The creature these scientists were looking to find was the rare and elusive ruby sea dragon, and they believed they had pieced together enough clues to figure out exactly where this creature lives.
