Florida is home to over 1.25 million alligators that are in the US. So if you go fishing in Florida, there is a chance that there’s an alligator close to you.
Chum Dumpster, a frequent fisherman in Florida, was enjoying his fishing trip when one of the deadly reptiles snuck up to him. In the video, you can barely see the gator until it’s way too close.
A survival mechanism that makes them undetectable to unsuspecting prey. In this case, Chum was supposed to be an easy lunch for the predator. Lucky for him, he managed a narrow escape.

Before he starts running, there’s a visible “log” that floats slowly towards him. If anything, this could have gone wrong in so many ways before he could realize it.
He falls trying to make a run for the clear, a situation that doesn’t end so well in most cases. Well, at least in the movies. Somehow the gator stops and looks at him for a while.
Probably surprised that Chum is trying to negotiate his way out of being lunch. He stomps his feet in an attempt to scare away the alligator who instead charges at him
Well technically, shooing away an alligator wouldn’t work. However, fishing in an open space where you can see your surroundings would. Either way, he’s lucky he made it out unharmed.
