Charley Pride is a country music legend. He’s been in the business for decades, and his music has changed the lives of many. Out of his 39 number one hit singles, none are more loved that “Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’”.
This song is one of Charley’s signature tracks even to this day. He released “Kiss An Angel Good Morning’” in October 1971 as the single for his album Charley Pride Sings Heart Songs.
A little more than a month later the track had reached the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. But it wasn’t just popular among country fans. This song also reached number 21 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
As with all great songs by legendary artists, many musicians over the years have released their own renditions of this track. Alan Jackson, George Jones, and Conway Twitty are just a few of the artists who loved this song so much they just had to play it themselves.
