The Gentlemen’s Agreement performed ‘Ma! (She’s Making Eyes at Me)’ at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 1996 International Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their group was known for being the 1971 International Quartet Champion.
Al Rehkop, Drayton Justus, Glenn Van Tassel, and Bob Whitledge were the original members. During their performance, they wore black suits with black bow ties. Their vests were colorful, and they had purple flowers pinned to their lapels.
Each of them had a medal around their neck. When the quartet started to sing, they showed perfect rhythm and harmony. The four had terrific chemistry that made the performance even more hypnotizing.
Their style had the recognizable flair of a barbershop quartet while being unique to them at the same time. Their faces had fantastic expressions throughout the performance.
It was a lively and energetic concert. The Gentlemen’s Agreement moved and waved their hands as they sang. Together their voices were unbelievably calming, powerful, and sweet. Individually they all had stellar vocals.
They captured the audience’s hearts with big smiles and even bigger voices. It was clear why they had become champions all those years ago.
The performance ended, and the crowd whistled and clapped loudly for them. All the members of The Gentlemen’s Agreement moved to the front of the stage and bowed humbly.
