Pandas are one of the cutest and cuddliest creatures on the planet, even after they are adults. This video features an adorable little panda cub named Xiao Liwu who lives at San Diego Zoo. Veterinarians at the zoo needed Xiao to do certain things in his most recent medical check-up so they could see if he was developing at the normal rate. Xiao was given some toys to play with during his medical exam to make him perform certain actions, and he had never seen some of these toys before. And being a cub, and a panda, means he loves to play with toys. Panda keepers were hoping to encourage him to play with new objects and also test his coordination abilities, and they were successful.
Among the toys was a green plastic ball. The keepers were probably not expecting to see what Xiao did next. He latches onto the ball and it seems he has finally selected his new favourite toy. The little guy is very attached to the plastic toy and really loves playing with it. I’m sure he will not give the ball back to the panda keepers. The tiny panda doesn’t even know that he is actually being tested all along. He just plays and enjoys himself. Don’t you want to join in on the fun and play with him?
