Frank Maglio begins playing “Living After Midnight” by Judas Priest on his electric guitar, while his friend Tico starts by warming up his vocals. Together they form a great musical duo.
Tico is a parrot, a double yellow-headed Amazon parrot to be specific. He has beautiful green feathers, all over his body except for his head. His species is the best of all amazon parrots at mimicking sounds.
They are also known to be very social creatures so it was perfect for Tico to be best friends with someone who loves to play music with him. While Maglio plays guitar Tico whistles, screeches, and sings.
Sometimes they use an acoustic guitar but for this song, Maglio goes with the electric as Tico belts out his lovely tunes. He can really hold a note. As the song continues Tico sings his heart out.
On top of the table, Tico walks left and right, Maglio sitting behind him. Tico is the true star of the show. He doesn’t sing any words of course, but it’s almost like scat singing.
You can see as he sings his pupils dilate when he becomes focused. They are having the time of their lives just jamming out. Maglio watches Tico like a proud father.
Tico continues to throw out a tricky series of notes and whistles. He is certainly a talented parrot, and Maglio is lucky to have him sing along happily to his music.
