Recently, a very talented Alaskan citizen, who goes by his online name “This Is My Alaska,” has created a timelapse video clip. The clip is about building a log cabin in the snowy wilderness with his helper grandson, Drox.
The music of the “Timelapse” video clip is created by his son, Eric, & the photography part is beautifully done by his friend, Tonja LaBuda. The family has lived in Alaska for over 50 years, mostly in log cabins.
This talented man has been creating log cabins since he was 10. He used to work with his father, building their family’s off-grid log cabin. Thus, he still loves to build cabins and never shies away from his passion for building log cabins.
The video is a time-lapse sequence, which documents the entire process of building a log cabin, from the beginning to the completion of the log cabin. The man begins by clearing the snow and cabin base from the surrounding area.
One by one, the man starts to measure the logs and build walls, stairs, a door, and several windows. After a while, he calls in for help to drill the ground and get the plumbing done. He also seeks assistance to lay the pipes underneath the house for earthing. The cabinets, the flooring, the roof, & bed were designed by the same person.
Everything is done single handedly by this hard-working architect. However, he gets help from his adorable dog and young grandson, Drox, while building the home. The inspiring teamwork of the whole family creates a beautiful bond that comes through when experiences are shared.
The completed log cabin has all the amenities of a modern house, and the look is completed by perfect lighting in each corner of the cabin. The result is a beautiful masterpiece & a cozy little cottage for the family to relax.
