The song opens with the shepherds tending their flocks by night. They spot a bright star in the sky and know that something momentous is about to happen over where that star shines.
The footage cuts to Mary and Joseph arriving at Bethlehem at last. They need to find shelter quickly because Mary is in labor. Joseph frantically pounds on the door of an inn.
With no vacancies to be found, the couple must settle for a stable. Mary gives birth to a beautiful baby boy. To their surprise, the shepherds from the fields gather to visit the newborn king.
The look on Mary and Joseph’s faces says it all when the three wise men arrive on their camels bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh for the little baby.
For the last lyrics, the scene cuts to Jesus as a man. It depicts his torturous crucifixion, death, and burial. We are left with the image of the newly risen Son of God.
