Rescuing animals is one of the most worthwhile professions. This is because so many people put in a lot of effort to help save animals. Colby’s Crew Rescue in Albemarle County, Virginia, is one such rescue sanctuary that helps many needy animals. This is irrespective of whether it is a miniature donkey or a senior horse.
Big John, a senior male rescue horse, lives a life of luxury at Colby’s Crew Rescue sanctuary. He is pampered by his rescuers and all the animals. The handsome senior horse even has a best friend named Cotton, a miniature donkey.
The “Gentle Giant” loves to run in the field and eats as much hay as he wants. He has plenty of people & animals to accompany him at the sanctuary. That being said, one thing is missing in his life, a soulmate.
The rescue team pairs him with several female animals at the sanctuary. However, Big John never seems to like anyone that much. Then, one day, Stardust shows up. This senior female rescue horse immediately wins over Big John.
As soon as Big John sees Stardust, he runs up to her. The senior male horse loves spending quality time with his stunning girlfriend. The crew keeps them separate for a few days, and when the two meet, Big John becomes super happy.
They share meals together and go for walks together in the sanctuary. Big John still likes to meet his best friend, Cotton. However, he returns to his lady love at the end of the day.
Big John and Stardust may have met one another later in life, but they are thankful to the rescuers. These rescue animals can now live around people who love and care for them.
