Bluegrass music is alive and well in the capable hands of ‘Ransomed.’ The band grew out of a collective love of gospel bluegrass music. After some living room jam sessions, the band formed to share their faith and love of bluegrass.

They perform a country gospel classic titled ‘I Saw the Light’ made famous by Hank Williams in 1948. Hank’s song became a staple closing number for his live shows.
‘Ransomed’ features Anthony Bauman on mandolin, Jerel Sensenig on fiddle, Darvin Martin on upright bass, Loren Nolt on guitar, and Gary Brubacher on banjo.

The music performance happens in an old barn-like room with the guys playing live. Each verse is punctuated with a harmonica solo, and the unison lead lines on the guitar, banjo, and fiddle are perfectly executed.
The spirited tempo makes the finger-picking even more impressive. The pure bluegrass sound is accompanied by four-part harmony, giving the song an authentic gospel feel.

Bluegrass debuted in the ‘40s originating in the Appalachian region of the United States. The country style received its name from the band ‘Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys.’
‘Ransomed’ captures this country sound from the comfort of their own home and delivers it to the world through their YouTube channel. They are spreading their faith and sharing their musical gifts with the world.
