Hear amazing young talents weave two different songs into one amazing melody

The magical thing about duets is that the whole can be larger than the sum of the parts. This is especially true when the singers can time things so perfectly that two different songs flow together, complimenting each other rather than being an audio jumble. YouTube sensations Casey Breves and Sam Tsui have pulled this off with songs by Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

Casey Breves, a native of New York, was a member of several singing groups while he was in college and after graduating was a member of the Grammy-Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer. He’s made quite a name for himself thanks to his enormously popular videos on YouTube, both original work, and covers. He’s also performed at Radio City Music Hall and on Saturday Night Live.

Like Breves, who he met in college, Sam Tsui is another internet singing star. He was involved in musical theater in high school and during his college years sang in his university’s a capella group. His pioneering YouTube channel, with its covers, medleys, and mashups, has attracted hundreds of millions of views. Tsui has appeared on “Oprah” and “Ellen” and gone on tour all over the world. His many fans are lovingly known as “samily.”

As you’ll see (and hear) in the video posted below, Breves and Tsui produced an incredibly beautiful mashup of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” and Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One.” The simple backdrop and softly played music are perfect for their weaving together of the two songs. Little wonder their video has racked up more than 38 million views. Many listeners have “complained” of goosebumps, so consider yourself warned!
