Hero Dad Saves Daughter From Coyote Attack

A man runs with a child as a coyote approaches on a suburban street.

It is pretty frightening if you ever see someone you love being attacked by a wild animal. A father who picked up his two-year-old daughter from preschool experienced this, and he could only act fast. A coyote was dragging this two-year-old girl by the mouth, and her dad could not get to his baby girl fast enough.

A man bends near a parked black Volkswagen SUV on a suburban street with a white car and a dog in the background.

The coyote had made a sneak attack on the little girl as he pounced to get to her and tried to drag her away. The little girl screams, and dad is right there to the rescue. He quickly pulls her away from the coyote's jaws, and when it looks as if the coyote is coming back, her dad picks up a water bottle and hurls it toward the creature.

The little girl was given to her mother, who had been watching and screaming in the background. The father chased off the coyote, and her mom said her husband was a true hero that day. Across the country, another little girl was attacked by a raccoon.

A man and child walk on a sidewalk as a coyote crosses the street in a suburban neighborhood.

A five-year-old girl encountered a raccoon who latched onto her leg and would not let go. She screamed and then began kicking at the raccoon. Her mother quickly gets between her daughter and the raccoon, which may be a rabid animal. She tells her daughter to get into the house.

A dog is peeking out of a car window, looking down at a driveway with scattered leaves.

She warns a neighbor as the raccoon snarls at the mother and grabs her. She tries to throw it off her, but the raccoon is holding on. She finally gets the raccoon off her and goes into the house to check on her little girl. Both mother and daughter have gotten rabies shots and are safe.
