A video from a news broadcast shows a marine veteran singlehandedly stopping an armed robbery at an Arizona gas station. The video has many viewers cheering for the veteran and applauding his selfless act.
The brave man proves that Marines’ duties to protect the freedom of others do not stop once they hang up their beret. In the video, there is no hesitation from the Marine as he springs into action.
CCTV footage from the gas station shows the Marine coincidently standing close to the cashier when suddenly, two armed assailants storm through the front door of the convenience store.
It seems that the veteran’s training and years of practice automatically kick in as he is seen reacting to the threat within split seconds. The viewer almost feels sorry for the robber as the Marine grabs hold of him.
The first thing he does when he sees the threat is to reach out and grab the gun. With a smooth, lightning-fast motion, he guides the gun barrel upward and away from the people in the store.
Simultaneously, he moves in with the other arm and smashes into the unlucky robber. His sidekick is overwhelmed by this ultra-fast and effective response. He loses his balance in the process and falls to the ground.
The sidekick is seen fleeing the scene through the front door, leaving his buddy behind in the deadly grip of the well-trained Marine. It all happens so fast that the news broadcast plays it on a loop to examine it.
