Tim Conway’s legacy lives on and fortunately, the famous funnyman from The Carol Burnett Show will be with us forever thanks to the internet. His slapstick comedy still has people in stitches even after he is no longer with us.
Donna Kerr commented online: ‘They don’t make comedians like you anymore.’ Another fan, Patricia Tardugno, wrote: ‘Tim Conway is the king of comedy.’ Hundreds of similar comments all hale this legendary godfather of comedy.
It is difficult to fathom that from 1966 to 2012, he appeared in more than 100 TV shows, TV series, and films! He was most famous for his roles on the Carol Burnett Show from 1974, and his work on the show earned him four Emmies. To younger television audiences, he was famous for starring in Spongebob Square Pants as the voice of Barnacle Boy.
In the tribute video, viewers are treated to snippets of some of his legendary performances throughout the years. They vary from silly to serious to even raunchy and borderline politically incorrect.
The video also included blooper reels where his true acting talent is displayed. His co-stars burst out in laughter onset in some scenes, but Tim could be seen finishing his lines undistracted, without even flinching.
Pasquale Murena, who posted the video, wrote: ‘I hope you laugh as much as I do while watching Tim’s genius. He will be missed.’ After watching this video and reading the comments, one can only agree that Tim Conway deserved his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
