Home Depot Shed Converted Into a Comfy off-the-Grid Tiny Home

A man paints a dark green cabin with a wooden porch in a forested area.

Jason Crocker found an abandoned shed on his property. It was covered in old vines and needed a lot of work, but Jason saw the potential in it and converted it himself into a beautiful off-the-grid tiny home.

Jason has a clear vision of what he wants the end result to look like and immediately adds modern touches to the front of the shed. After removing the railing from the porch area, new planks are attached and stained for a modern, cohesive look.

Jason enlists a friend's help to paint the shed's exterior. The two use a paint sprayer to make the unit a cool gray to accent the newly stained planks added to the porch.

The inside of the shed requires more work to become livable. Jason adds walls, plumbing, wiring, doors, and insulation to the shed. His partner, Danielle, also joins in on many projects to help!

The couple's efforts show clearly in the details of the tiny home conversion. Aesthetic details like wood floors, a marble countertop, and a revamped loft area bring the renovation together.

Even though the tiny home is technically off-the-grid, the Crockers include a few modern touches. A television and small heater are featured in the corner for a cozy evening.

The conversion only took Jason a few months, and he turned it into an amazing tiny house his family will enjoy for years to come.
