Home Free delivered another stunning cover with their rendition of Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin.’ And they added a clever twist at the end.
The acapella group Home Free gave their fans an April Fool’s Day treat to remember with their clever mashup of two popular songs – one from Journey and the other from Rick Astley.
They opened with a beautiful rendition of ‘Don’t Stop Believin,’ just getting into the first chorus before the music suddenly changed – a twist their fans did not see coming.
Both the music arrangement and overall tone shifted, into Rick Astley’s one-hit wonder, ‘Never Gonna Give You Up.’ The hilarious rickroll was planned for April Fool’s Day.
Perhaps the most surprising part of the song was not their ability to fool their most ardent supporters, but that their version of ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ also sounds amazing.
It should come as no shock that Home Free can make any song sound better with their unique vocal style, so now we are waiting for the full version of the Journey classic.
