Calum Scott is a famous artist from the United Kingdom who started on ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ Although he didn’t win the competition, it was precisely the kind of limelight he needed to boost his career.
Calum started off on BGT with a bang singing a cover of ROBYN’s “Dancing on My Own and earning himself a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell. He ultimately finished sixth in the competition.
The talent show earned him recognition, and he signed on with Capitol Records shortly after that. He released his first album, “Only Human,” which included the hit single, “You Are the Reason.”
His social media following blew up. He was invited on talk shows where he came out as gay and advocated for everyone to stay true to themselves. He also started working out for his concert tours.
Calum Scott teamed up with Bulova to create a behind-the-scenes look at his life entitled “Minutes with Calum.” Instead of releasing a second album, he recorded several EPs and singles.
He premiered one of his most famous songs, “If You Ever Change Your Mind,” on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Calum started off from humble beginnings and rose to stardom fast.
Overall, Calum Scott is an inspirational success story, from his golden buzzer moment on “Britain’s Got Talent” to a silver album and a series of best-selling EPs and singles.
