Hurricane Heros Save Abandoned Farm Pigs During Time of Peril

“Hurricane Heroes” is an award-winning documentary. The film shares the stories of the people who are putting their lives on the line to save farm animals from the floodwaters after Hurricane Florence.

The days after a hurricane are dangerous. Not only are the people stranded in the water in need of rescue and sanctuary, so are farm animals. Animal rights groups such as Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and We Animals focus on saving as many animals they can from the farms flooded after a natural disaster.

Animal control, the video explains, focuses on saving dogs and cats and horses, leaving many traditional farm animals without aid. This documentary shows a group of people heading out into disease-infested waters, risking their own health, to be able to rescue as many farm animals as they can.
