Amanda had recently moved to a new city with her husband. She also just recently lost her beloved Yorkshire terrier, so it was a bittersweet time for her.
When her 30th birthday rolled around at the same time as her 3rd wedding anniversary, her husband naturally figured it was a great opportunity to surprise her with a big gift. Instead of buying her an expensive pair of diamond earrings, two tickets to a tropical island getaway, or a nice long day at a fancy spa, he set a simple black purse on the table, unwrapped.
Now, this doesn’t seem like a very romantic gesture, does it? He didn’t even put a bow on the bag, or anything! No flowers? No candles? This doesn’t sound like any woman’s idea of a good 3rd anniversary or 30th birthday surprise.
But once she reads the tag and finds out what kind of bag it is… It doesn’t seem so blah anymore. She jokingly makes a guess at what’s inside, but never expected there to actually be anything of the sort there!
The worst surprise turns into one of the best in the blink of an eye, and Amanda’s reaction is so priceless. Listen to that laugh! I have a feeling that 30 is going to be a good year for her, and that these two are going to spend many more happy anniversaries together. It’s always so heart-warming to see couples do such incredibly wonderful things for each other!
