While there have been many cover versions of the song, it was initially written for Warwick by the great composers Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The song perfectly captures the feel of the music in the late ‘60s.

Other famous versions have come from Aretha Franklin, Pharrell and Tori Kelly, and Johnny Mathis. Dionne’s version peaked at number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in 1967.
