Jeffrey wasn’t just your average young competitor; he had a heartwarming wish, which immediately endeared him to the sometimes prickly Simon Cowell.
A Dream and A Promise
Now, let’s set the scene. This young lad stood before the AGT judges and shared his desire for a furry companion. As an only child, he felt a German Shepherd would be a perfect companion. He said, “I would love to have a dog that could play with me all day,” tugging at our collective heartstrings.

Shifting from his usual somewhat indifferent posture, he made a promise that struck a chord with everyone in the room. “If you do well, I’m going to buy you a dog. When it came time for Jeffrey to perform, he selected “You Raise Me Up,” a song that demands vocal prowess and range, a challenging pick for a 13-year-old.
