America’s Got Talent is an American television talent show that has many incredible acts. If they can shock the creator and judge Simon Cowell, the participants have it in the bag.
However, this all depends on how the contestant decides to present themself. If you choose the wrong song, you may not even have a chance at heading to the next round.
Jimmie Herrod’s audition at AGT may have started in this manner, but it surely did not end this way. The American singer and songwriter had chosen Simon Cowells least favorite song, “Tomorrow,” from the musical Annie.

While his song of choice may seem tired out and over down, his beautiful rendition may shock you. Simon Cowell did not know what was coming when he said, “Did you know that is my worst song in the world.”
Thankfully, Jimmie Herrod stood his ground and told the judge that he did not have another song prepared and would sing what he had. As his audition goes on, Simon is visibly impressed by what he is hearing.
The audience and all of the audience exclaim their bewilderment at Herrod’s powerful performance. He receives a standing ovation that even Simon cannot turn down. “Wow, it’s not my worst song anymore,” is what the once annoyed judge can manage now.
In a twist of events, judge Sofia Vergara indicates that she did not like his performance, leaving the entire room stunned at her comment. However, she turns this around, suggesting that she “loved it!” and takes her chance at the golden buzzer, a sign of high appreciation.
