John Fogerty & Brad Paisley Singing 'Bad Moon Rising' Is the Perfect Vibe for These Crazy Times

Two musicians perform on stage, one in a white hat, both playing guitars.

Love him or hate him, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ features many fantastic music performances. This time, he brought together the incomparable John Fogerty and country superstar Brad Paisley.

The two men join forces in front of a docked battleship on stage to perform Fogerty’s hit ‘Bad Moon Rising.’ The song was made famous by Fogerty’s group ‘Creedence Clearwater Revival.’

Brad Paisley jokes before the song starts, ‘Let’s see how many notes it takes before we go crazy.’ He knows the crowd will freak out as soon as John starts the first chords.

A man in a patterned shirt plays an electric guitar on stage, singing into a microphone.

Sure enough, right on cue, the crowd screams when John begins the CCR hit. The band joins in, and everyone is rocking. Brad strikes the harmony on the chorus and the lead guitar solo with a wild paint-splattered guitar.

These two musical powerhouses electrify the audience. The lights are flashing as John enjoys the moment. He’s bopping all around while Brad plays. The crowd and backing band realize they are watching music history.

John sounds as good as the record, released back in 1969. It was the lead single from the album ‘Green River.’ The song reached number 2 on the Billboard charts and became the band’s second gold single.

The classic has been recorded by over 20 different artists in various styles. It was ranked number 364 on ‘Rolling Stone’ magazines ‘500 Greatest Songs of All Time.’ Years later, John is still rocking with a little help from country great Brad Paisley.

If Brad Paisley was your soundtrack back then, it's still out there on AmazonAd. Buying through here helps us a little and pays for the odd treat for the cats.
