Johnny introduces his guests, and they walk out hand-in-hand, do a quick twirl together, and walk up to shake Johnny’s hand. He comments on how great they both look.

John Travolta says, “A little overweight, but….” Kirstie chimes in, saying, “We’re both a little overweight, but John and I believe that you should beef up before you do a movie.”

Kirstie and John continue talking about how they bring in large amounts of food at a time when they film because they work it all off. So, they need to keep their weight up through the process.

Johnny Carson says he hates seeing himself on TV, and he doesn’t like watching himself. He asks them how they feel about it. He also asks if people really mean it when they say they did a great job in the performance.

Travolta talks about what his relatives said when he asked them about one of his other movies. He laughs and says, “They said, ‘Well, what do you think?’” The non-answer gets the audience laughing.

Kirstie says, “It’s going to be nerve-wracking tonight because John and I have neither one seen, uh, the picture. So, it’ll be sort of like we might have to go the bathroom in the middle of it and never come back.” Travolta agrees, but they are still excited, and Johnny reassures them that the premiere will be great. It’s a great interview with Carson and two stars with incredible chemistry, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley.
