Who can forget The Man in Black? Johnny Cash was a legend while he was alive and the legend lives on in this emotional tribute video by his daughter.

The Kennedy Center Honors is a yearly event that pays tribute to people who have dedicated their lives to the performing arts in American culture.

The Legendary Johnny Cash was one of the five people who was honored on the 1996 gala night. The event was one for the ages, and I’m sure that no one present will forget it.

Artists came onstage one after another and honored Cash by singing some of his most loved songs. Cash sat in the audience with esteemed guests like the then-president Bill Clinton. The last performer was his daughter Rosanne Cash. She began with a brief biography of her father then sang “I Walk The Line”. Later everyone joined in for the classic “I’ll Fly Away”. Watch Rosanne bring Johnny Cash to tears; You’ll barely be able to hold back your own!
