Dealing with the death of a loved one is hard for everyone. We try to handle the pain in our own way, but sometimes nothing is comforting enough. The simple knowledge that you will never again get to see that person is like a spike through the heart.
Humans are not the only species that get emotionally wrecked by such an experience of loss. We know that many animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses, feel the loss of a friend. But wait till you see this clip and how this little bird reacts to the loss of a friend.
This adorable budgie just figured out that her best friend was no longer alive. It is hard to watch her reaction. She struggles to let her friend go and it is heart-breaking to say the least. You will be soaked in tears when you see this poignant goodbye. I really hope her owner gets her a new friend pretty soon.
The owner of the birds allows this little budgie to say goodbye to her friend. He wraps the bird in a paper towel, but the little budgie continues to go back to say goodbye to her companion. She seems a bit lost and forlorn. Her owner is trying to help her.
What really brought tears to my eyes is that the owner is also crying over the loss of his bird. I felt so bad for him. He’s not on camera, but he can be heard sniffling and crying, trying to comfort his little budgie. This is proof that people can form strong bonds with their birds and that birds can feel loss.
