‘Canada’s Got Talent’ is a show that spotlights the unknown talent in Canada. Hailing from St John’s, Newfoundland, Kellie Loder takes to the stage with her acoustic guitar in hand.

Kellie says that everyone in Newfoundland has a guitar, and she learned to play from her brother. She says, ‘Since a young age, music has been everything. It’s been an escape. It’s been an outlet.’

She is a true original with a great sense of humor. Kellie closes her interview portion with the line, ‘Why can’t you just be yourself? It’s the easiest thing to be.’

The judges ask her, ‘Why are you here tonight?’ Kellie responds, ‘I’m here to blow some minds!’ The audience likes her attitude. Dressed in a floral, almost Hawaiian-style shirt, she begins to sing.

She performs Bob Dylan’s classic ‘Make You Feel My Love.’ Kellie fingerpicks her acoustic guitar wonderfully. She belts out the song’s hook to the pleasure of the judges and audience.

‘Make You Feel My Love’ has become a ‘standard’ song in the 21st century since over 450 artists have covered it. Everyone from Adele, Michael Bolton, Neil Diamond, Garth Brooks, and Kelly Clarkson have done their own version through the years. It was written by Bob Dylan for his album, ‘Time Out of Mind’ in 1997.

Kellie’s memorable performance of the beautiful song wows the judges and audience alike. She is proud of who she is and completely comfortable on stage. Everyone loved this flawless performance on ‘CGT.’
