Kid Rock Channels His Inner Classic Country Style With Epic ‘Johnny Cash’ Music Video

Kid Rock started his career in the music industry back in the ‘90s, when he came on the scene with his aggressive rock-rap sound. He later transitioned to a more bluesy, country-rock sound.

In 2002, Kid Rock released “Picture”, a country track he recorded with Sheryl Crow, and officially made his mark in a new genre for him. After the success of “Picture”, he released several more tracks in the same style, including “All Summer Long” and “Born Free”.

Kid Rock released his tenth studio album in February, 2015. He called the album First Kiss, and its title track was an instant success on the US Country Airplay chart and the US Billboard Top 100 chart.

But it’s another track from the album that caught our attention. While it wasn’t released as a single, “Johnny Cash” is really the star track in our opinion. Kid Rock creates a heartland-rock style ballad in tribute to the man in black and his love for June, and it works on every level.
