Tempeh’ the spunky kitten loves hitching piggyback rides on her porcine pal ‘Beatrice’. Their unlikely friendship blossomed at Hercules Haven animal sanctuary in Iowa, where both found a loving home after rough starts in life.
Beatrice, an 8-year-old pig with frostbitten ears, arrived at the sanctuary after being found wandering the streets. Tempeh was a stray kitten scooped up by the sanctuary’s caring staff. Despite their differences, the pair bonded almost instantly.

Tempeh’s playful antics bring out Beatrice’s youthful energy. The mischievous kitten loves pouncing on Beatrice’s tail and nestling in her thick fur. For her part, Beatrice acts as a patient, tolerant “mom” to her feline companion.
