Stories of extreme animal neglect are always incredibly disheartening. To think that as a species we are capable of such cruelty is hard to accept. However, for every horrible abuse story I come across success stories', like Pumpkin. She was saved from incredibly harsh conditions and now she is enjoying her life.
Pumpkin was an abused and abandoned young dog trying to survive on the harsh streets. Watch this little dog’s remarkable and inspiring story. Oh, and a “foster failure” is a good thing. It means the foster mom became forever mom!
An employee that worked with Pumpkin says “She is a shining beacon for all homeless animals. With her amazing veterinary team and lots of prayers, she is a true survivor! Thank you for being her champion!”
Stories like this make me remember that we humans are also capable of great kindness. It makes me feel hopeful and as though we can make a huge difference.
