Nothing warms my heart more than seeing animals that wouldn’t normally spend any time with each other spend quality time with each other. This always makes me wonder why, if they can do it, why can’t we? Why do we drive wedges among ourselves, discrediting others because of differences in skin color or religion? It’s absurd. This video here shows another two species, three if you include the daddy, all playing together.
It’s not quite the same as, say, a talking pig and a talking spider becoming fast friends, but it’s still a sweet sight to see this little pig running around a field along with a couple of dogs. He thinks he’s part of their crew, and they aren’t doing anything to disabuse him of that notion. Everybody is having a blast, including their daddy. It’s great to see these different animals get along so well.
This little guy loves playing with his canine pals. They are likely so much more active than his pig friends, who probably just want to stand around and occasionally roll around in the mud. These dogs, though, are athletic and it looks like they will give him a run for his money. He’s been quite well-accepted, though, since it looks like the dogs aren’t even fazed by the fact that there’s a porcine companion among them.
Aside from his wanting to hang out with the other dogs, I didn’t see any doglike-behavior from the pig. He didn’t bark, he didn’t roll over, he didn’t fetch. Still, it was quite a cute video seeing him run around the yard. If he does keep company with these pooches, he’ll likely be a very trim pig from all the running around. I can’t see him becoming one of those giant, really overweight pigs in that case.
