Dave and Jen had recently rescued a lamb named Archie. The first night was really long as the tiny animal was very distressed. It was a very long and difficult night for the couple and the little one. The poor baby was orphaned at birth, and his body could not process milk. The little lamb was very quiet and was really tiny.

So, the couple had to work hard to keep a delicate balance between keeping him comfortable and finding a milk mixture that would work for him. Archie wanted to have human contact. He craved connection. So, the couple spent hours initially cuddling with him all the time.
Dave was a musician, so he used to play his guitar to keep the little one comfortable. Archie would come over whenever he played the guitar and just stand or sit right by his rescuer. The little lamb just loved human attention a lot. He craved the warmth, the kindness, and the soft touches.

After weeks of working on all the balances, he finally took his very first bottle of milk. Jen found this incredible. As soon as he started to eat independently, Archie became very active. He would hop around the whole house. He was overflowing with joy and could not contain himself.
He would start to dance on the coffee table. The couple knew that Archie was now ready to transition to the outside world. However, Archie's transition was slower than expected as the little one loved to be inside the house. For the first week, he would cry every time Jen walked by. Nevertheless, the couple was excited because it was a remarkable transition.

But emotionally, it was tough for them as they just wanted Archie to be alright. So, the couple kept up some of the things they always did at home for the little one. Dave played the guitar to him at bedtime. It was just a beautiful way to graduate the baby lamb gently.
When Dave played the guitar out on the farm, the couple's other sheep would come over and get into the guitar. So Archie now had his new friends to look after him. He got a buddy to play around with, another friend to cuddle, and the other buddy Hazel who was so in love with him. It was like a village of love around him. Dave and Jen were glad that they were a part of Archie's transition journey.
