It’s never easy losing someone we love, especially when it feels like that person was taken away far too soon. Loretta Lynn recently lost her grandson, Jeffrey Allen Lynn, and is working through the complicated emotions that come with his passing.
Jeffrey was only 47 when he passed last June, quite unexpectedly. He worked and lived on his grandmother’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. Jeffrey’s father, Benny Lynn, also met a tragic and abrupt end when he drowned in a river on the Lynn family property in 1984.
Jeffrey is survived by his three children, Joey, Katie, and Cody.
Loretta postponed some of her shows following the tragic news, so she could be home with her family to grieve. After some time, she returned to her tour dates, and went on to record a new Christmas album, her first in fifty years. White Christmas Blue was released in October, 2016.
Our hearts go out to Loretta as she continues through her days. Those we love and lose are never forgotten, but remain always in our hearts.
