The skit is presented as a movie showing on ‘The Early Early Show.’ The announcer introduces the actors and their parts. Carol and Lucille are introduced comically as ‘A struggling singing act in their late 20’s or early 40’s.’

The skit starts with two men auditioning for a talent agent. After their performance, Carol and Lucille walk in for their try-out. The agent asks the girls what they do. Carol says, ‘What do you need?’ The agent says, ‘I need an animal act and two girl singers.’ Lucille responds, ‘Which do you want us to do first?’

They sing a song about perfume while grabbing big bottles and spraying the agent a few times. They ask how they did, and he says, ‘I liked it except for two things, you and you.’ He kicks them out, and they storm out angry.

As Carol and Lucille enter the garage to leave, they stumble upon gangsters who are committing murder. They run away and try to hide in their car, but the gangsters chase after them.

The gangsters chase after them, and they hide under a table as the two men who auditioned earlier run by talking about going to Florida with two tickets. Carol and Lucille decide that their only way of escape is to knock the fellas out and take their tickets.

The girls take on the guys with tickets by grabbing hammers. After successfully attacking them, they come out of the room wearing men’s suits. The gangsters interrogate them and ask if they’ve seen any girls around the garage, and Carol responds with a deep voice, ‘No.’ Carol says they need to catch the train to Florida, and the gangsters say they’re on the same train, so they can go together! It is a hilarious skit starring two queens of comedy.
