Luke Bryan Grants 5-Year-Old Cancer Patient’s Final Wish Days Before Her Passing. Touching!

At the very young age of two, Lila May Schow was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer in the lymph nodes. She fought the disease courageously for years before doctors told her parents that her little body no longer had the strength to keep going.

Lila May’s only wish was to dance onstage with her hero, country music star Luke Bryan. After receiving the tragic news from doctors, Lila’s parents decided they would do everything in their power to make sure their little girl’s wish came true.

First they threw Lila an amazing princess party, inviting all her friends and family. Then they took her for a week long vacation to Hawaii. But there was still one thing missing.

Lila’s parents spoke with PEOPLE magazine about their daughter and her life, and her final wish to dance with Luke Bryan. When Luke read the story on the magazine’s website, he jumped into action.

First, he called the family personally and spoke to Lila and her parents. And if that wasn’t enough, Luke also sent Lila a personal video message, as well as VIP tickets for the whole family for an upcoming concert.

Luke arranged to bring Lila May onstage during that concert to sing her favorite song, “That’s My Kind Of Night”. Tragically, Lila May passed away shortly before the concert, but the love Luke Bryan sent her touched the hearts of everyone she knew.
