The following video features an adorable family of Belgian Draft Horses. Belgian draft horses are one of the strongest of the heavy breed horses. They are huge in size, stunning to look at, and very serene in nature. You might be wondering what is so special about the family in the following clip. Well, Lisa and Fien are twin foals!
Just wait until you see them together with their proud mom!
They are happily playing in the pasture in this clip. They are joined by a little girl at one point, proving that they in fact deserve the name of gentle giants. The girl is really small compared to the horses, but she has no problem going up to them and showering them with her love. As you can see, the horses don’t mind the attention either! Like most horses, they can sense when a child is near and that they need to be careful and gentle with such small people.
Twins in horses are extremely rare and can represent a very real danger to the mother, especially when it comes to this breed that is fairly big! But this mom is apparently just as strong as she looks and was able to take care of both of them. I am very happy to see that these two were delivered safe and sound and are currently enjoying their home along with their healthy mother!
