We often hear animals playing outside our homes, but how often does it turn out to be the elusive lynx? This is what Tim Newton experienced one day at his Alaska home.
Tim is a professional photographer and stays in Alaska. He was suddenly forced to wake up due to some strange noises coming from his porch. Upon investigating, he found a Mama lynx and her seven kittens playing on his porch.
The playful lynx kitten and their mother played on the porch as if it was their playground. Then, as was his habit, Tim quickly took out his camera and started taking some photos of the family.
The lynx family did not seem to shy away from the sound of the camera. On the contrary, they came closer to Tim and lined up outside his screen door.
At first sight, it seemed as if cats had invaded Tim’s home. However, upon closer look, he recognized them as lynx kittens. The playful and energetic kittens were running back and forth on the porch, unafraid of the presence of a human amongst them.
It is not easy to see a lynx out in the wild. However, Tim was fortunate enough to see a whole family of lynx right on his porch. He couldn’t believe his luck when he got the opportunity to click their photos at such close range.
This is a dream come true for wildlife photographers like Tim Newton. Mama lynx and her kittens spent 40 minutes playing on the porch. Tim was thankful to the lynx family to pay him a visit and give him a chance to click their photos at such close range.
