Man Feeds Full-Sized Syrian Rescue Bear With a Regular-Sized Spoon

A man feeds a large brown bear a piece of food from a tray in a grassy area.

Parenting is a tough job. Just imagine how hard it would be to parent an 880-pound full-grown brown bear! However, these professionals at the Orphaned Wildlife Center are having the time of their life parenting these animals.

The Orphaned Wildlife Center is run by an extraordinary group of people in Otisville, New York. Their goal is to provide nourishment and safety to orphaned animals and prepare them to return to the wilderness.

They now have 11 bears of variant species on their property. And Leo, this male Syrian Brown bear, is one of their oldest. He’s 24 years and goes “Winnie the Pooh” over honey!

The internet can’t seem to have enough of Leo’s feeding sessions with Jim. Jim is one of the amazing staff of the Orphaned Wildlife Center. He sits on a log with a large honey tray in his hand and feeds Leo with a regular round spoon.

The bear responds to him like a little baby. Jim was often making his spoon fly around, making airplane noises while feeding Leo. The cutest part? Leo’s eyes didn’t move once from the spoon.

Leo, on the other hand, seems not to worry much about table etiquettes. When Jim was not looking, he would often try to eat right from the tray. Yet, he was so calm and comfortable around Jim.

Jim is a retired correction officer who now works in excavating. He is really sincere with the bears, and that's what makes Leo love him so much. This fun-loving bear is one of the most clever beers of the OWC, says the staff.
