Mike Manuel Performs 'Phone in Heaven' for His Mother

A man in a red shirt and cowboy hat sings while playing an acoustic guitar in a cemetery.

Wearing a black cowboy hat, a red top, black bottoms, and a guitar around his shoulder, Mike Manuel performs his song dedicated to his mother and all kids who miss their mothers.

The song titled “Phone In Heaven” is about reaching out into the afterlife in order to contact someone you miss and love dearly. In Manuel’s case, the person he wishes to talk to is his mother.

He stands in the cemetery singing heartfelt lyrics with deep and rich emotion. Around him is nature in all its glory, healthy plants and trees are scattered bright and green.

Mike Manuel sings a heartfelt song titled “Phone In Heaven.”

There are also many gravestones that surround him. It is a very bittersweet scene. As there is no love without loss, he sings about the things he wishes he could say to her if he had the chance.

Out to the lord, he pleads that if there is a phone in heaven let his mama speak to him for at least a moment. He would tell her how much he loved her and missed her.

He walks across the cemetery, passing a few of the gravestones. Then he stops at one of them, presumably his mother’s. Written on the stone is the name, “Betty.”

At one point you see him in a phone booth, imagining what it would be like for him to speak to his mama in heaven. He finishes the song, giving it all he’s got.
