Miracle On 34th Street Actress Maureen O’Hara Passes Away At 95. She Is Gone But Not Forgotten.

The world has lost a classic starlet. Maureen O’Hara, known for her flaming red hair and her spirited acting, passed away recently at the age of 95. Her manager, Johnny Nicoletti, reports that she passed away peacefully at her home in Boise, Idaho.

Her family broke the news by releasing a simple, but touching, statement: “She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family as they celebrated her life listening to music from her favorite movie, ‘The Quiet Man’.”

O’Hara was born in Dublin, Ireland on August 17, 1920; She took to the stage early, training classically from a very young age. Her style is defined by her passion and spunk, while maintaining a sensible attitude.

She’s best known for her roles alongside John Wayne, where she brought her lovable humor to the screen in films like “The Quiet Man” and “McLintock”. But perhaps her most loved role is as Doris Walker in the holiday classic “Miracle On 34th Street”.
