A girl gets on the stage to perform for a talent show. Suddenly, she is overwhelmed by anxiety and stage fright.
Makayla makes her way to the stage of her school’s talent show. She has chosen the song ‘Rise Up’ by Andra Day for this auspicious occasion.
She starts to sing. She does fine for about a minute; but around the 1-minute mark, her hesitance seems to grow.
Children, especially teenagers, are often crowd-shy, and she is no different. People start looking around trying to figure out what has happened.
Makayla, alone on the stage, gives in to stage fright and stops singing altogether. Her gaze starts searching for something; her demeanor has fazed and her body frozen.
She even starts to cry a little bit. People look around at each other, trying to make sense of the situation. It is at this point that a lot of people start looking to their left. A figure emerges. She walks towards the girl on stage and starts singing.
The girl sings along and eventually picks her momentum back up. The woman, her mother, makes her way alongside the girl and helps her get through the tenuous ordeal.
