Living in a tiny house can provide a much-needed escape from the stressful, hectic life of living with too much stuff. This is the story of a woman and her daughter who needed a change.
Megan and her six-year-old daughter Sloane traded their busy suburban life in Connecticut for a serene home in the woods of Vermont. This little family went from 3000 square feet of home to 300.
They absolutely love their change of pace. Megan can work less since she doesn’t have a mortgage to pay. She can spend more time with Sloane as she enjoys her childhood.
Their new land is located in a beautiful patch of woods in the mountains of Vermont. Living in a tiny house here comes with its challenges, but it also has great rewards.
Instead of building a new tiny house, they bought a used one from a woman in Virginia and towed it up to Vermont themselves. They each have their own loft rooms and plenty of space to live.
They spend most of their time outside exploring the wild Vermont woods. Megan has found that although their neighbors are farther away, they are far more neighborly than in the suburbs.
Megan and Sloane feel extremely blessed to be able to embark on this new adventure. They love living in a tiny house and have found their quality of life has improved since their move.
