Neil Diamond Puts Helpful Twist on 'Sweet Caroline' During Coronavirus Outbreak

Man in black shirt and cap plays acoustic guitar in front of fireplace with flames.

Since the coronavirus has begun to spread, the internet has seen a variety of celebrities encourage their fans to follow the rules. Musician Neil Diamond decided to put a relevant spin on one of his most famous songs, “Sweet Caroline.”

The video starts with his adorable dog greeting the camera before we see Diamond sat in front of a cozy fireplace. With an acoustic guitar in hand, we can tell that Neil is about to sing us a sweet song to help bring a smile to fans’ faces.

Before he starts strumming his guitar, the musician says, “…I know we’re going through a rough time right now, but I love you, and I think maybe if we sing together, well, we’ll feel just a little bit better.”

Diamond changes some of the lyrics to the pre-chorus to “Hands, washing hands, reaching out, I won’t touch you, don’t touch me.” It’s hard not to sing along to this catchy version of “Sweet Caroline.” Thanks for a dose of positivity, Neil.
