New York City's most famous Doo-Wop group Acapella Soul performed an amazing cover of the 1960s Ben E. King hit 'Stand By Me.'
The six-man Acapella group is one of the best in the area. They developed a reputation primarily for their synchronicity in their vocal performances without sophisticated instrumental accompaniment.
For some, the viral video of a group of men performing an (almost) Acappella version of "Stand By Me" in Central Park is simply another perfect performance by an American favorite.

Although King may have released it for the first time, the song is recognizable worldwide and has been covered and performed by other artists such as John Lennon, Maurice White of Earth, Fire, Wind, and even Florence and the Machine.
Now, it is once again played by this group called Soul Acapella. This video was filmed in New York near Central Park.
While the band now has 6 members, only five appear in this video. Todd is on bass while Rome leads the vocals on this particular song and the rest of the men sing in support.
By the end of the song, the camera pans over to the audience, which has grown considerably. The group has a strong following in New York City thanks to their impromptu street performances such as this one.
