News anchors spend hours of their day reporting about one negative story after another. Thankfully, some news programs have an uplifting segment that makes everything a bit easier to digest. CBS reporter Steve Hartman is known for doing just that for his viewers.
Hartman spends a lot of time on the road, sharing stories all about the love, kindness, and positivity of others. Many gain inspiration and a bit of hope for the future. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Steve has been working from home.
COVID-19 hasn’t slowed down his positive attitude either. During live streams on the CBS News Facebook page, Hartman broadcasts for 30 minutes daily. His daughter Meryl joins him to help share stories about the importance of kindness.
With part of the segment called “Kindness 101,” he helps young viewers learn why you should be kind to others. This is such a great thing to see with the negative news stories we view regularly. Keep up the good work, Steve and Meryl.
