Peter Hollens is an American independent singer/songwriter, producer and entrepreneur. He has been involved with acapella music since 1999 when he and Leo da Silva founded the University of Oregon’s acapella group, On The Rocks, known as the first official collegiate acapella group in Oregon. He regularly releases new music videos to his YouTube channel.
This is his first original song dedicated to his new born son Ashland! It is a very emotional song with lyrics that will surely touch the hearts of many fathers. The emotion he has put into the song is very moving. This clip opens with him singing in a living room, and then we see them cut a cake to discover that they are having a boy.
The lyrics are very touching, and so is the video. This couple is so happy about their baby and these celebrate by watching the sunset together on the beach. Then he sings, “It’s been a long day, but one I’ll never forget. The day that we first met.” He’s referring to the day his son was born.
