Andrew Lloyd Webber was one of the most successful composers of all time. However, the king of memorable tunes was known best for the numerous film and stage adaptations of his musicals. These included Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1968), Cats (1994), Evita (1996), and Phantom of the Opera (2004).
Recently, a snippet of these musical ballads gained a lot of online followers for its brilliant storyline. The performers followed excellent technique on stage. The 1st song in the list of hits was 'Any Dream Will Do' from the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (1999). It had Donny Osmond portraying the title character.
The lead character, Donny, was accompanied by Maria Friedman, Richard Attenborough, and Joan Collins. It was a colorful adventure in ancient Egypt. The story was about a man named Joseph, his 11 brothers, and a coat of many colors. It involved their journey from rags to riches. The fantastic score brought peace and relaxation to all the listeners.
Ramin Karimloo heightened each audience sensation with the enchanting interpretation of music from "The Phantom of the Night." He performed live at the Royal Albert Hall with Sierra Boggess as his co-star. She complimented Ramin's singing perfectly. In addition, Sierra captured the state of trance that her character Christine was in.
The story was about a man shunned by society, trying to serenade the woman he had chosen. However, he still tried to appear brave and seductive while deathly afraid of her rejecting him because of his face.
The next song on the list was from the musical, "Cats," where John Partridge played the role of the curious & rebellious cat (Rum Tum Tugger). In this rock and roll number, he loved to be the center of attention. He was accompanied by several other performers on stage who danced and sang in sync with Partridge.
Last, Antonio Banderas performed "Oh What A Circus" – Evita. He starred in the cinematic version of Evita. He was chosen as the lead for a live performance at Royal Albert Hall. He was a perfect cast for the role of Che because of his natural Spanish-speaking accent. He could perfectly echo the lyrics and the music and send the message within the song.
