Not so long ago I penned an article about a lady who found an adorable abandoned hatchling that had fallen from the nest before it was hatched. That it survived the fall is a miracle in itself. That it survived the potential risks as hand said a lot about its stoicism. It was such an amazing story especially since it went on to develop a strong bond with its rescuer after a period of time. The video in this post shares a lot of similarities with the aforementioned one. It warmed my heart so much that I couldn’t help but share it with everyone. A man and a squirrel are the main characters in this epic true story.
The man in question was busy cleaning his pool when he saw a baby squirrel. He had seen it a couple of times before and was getting worried that it might be lost or even orphaned. True to his suspicions, its mom was nowhere to be seen. After the squirrel carefully observed him, he ran straight to him and even climbed on to his scarcely hairy foot. Every attempt of putting the squirrel down yielded the same result. It couldn’t get enough of his newly found buddy.
When he puts it on his hand, he tries to nibble his fingers and lick the man’s palm. But still, he is adamant about letting go of his friend. Save for the weather outside, the man would have taken him in. However, he cares for the squirrel and even says that he’ll have to find out what squirrels feed on. The squirrel, unfortunately, didn’t imprint on him unlike in another video I recently wrote about where a squirrel was adopted by a female feline. It sounds like a movie right from Pixar Animation Studios. This squirrel however, he went back to wandering around.
